For small trading desks

Built for the desk that runs a real book in a 100-column spreadsheet

ION, Eka and Allegro were never priced for a one-to-five-person trading house. So the book lives in Excel, the hedge blotter lives in another Excel, and the two agree until the day it costs six figures to discover they do not.

opsPhlo Lite keeps purchases, sales, fixings, costs and hedges on one data model. Unpriced legs stay out of your flat position. Internal hedges never count as cover. Margin is never netted across brokers. The rules a good risk manager enforces by hand are enforced by the system.

  • Deal book: purchases, sales, index and differential pricing, fixations, per-deal P&L
  • Positions and inventory derived from the deals, never typed in twice
  • Futures and FX hedging with mark-to-market, per-broker margin and projected margin calls
  • Deal costs with estimate-versus-actual variance, financing carry and gross profit

Letter of credit workability and document checking
For trade finance professionals

Catch the unworkable LC before you sign, not at presentation

If you structure or check letters of credit for a living, you know where deals die: an LC that cannot be performed against the contract, back-to-back terms that do not mirror, an amendment that drifted from the paper, a discrepancy found by the bank instead of by you.

opsPhlo Lite reads the LC against the underlying deal and tells you, term by term, what is unworkable, what does not mirror across a back-to-back structure, and what has drifted since the last amendment. Document examination runs before presentation, so the discrepancy fee stays in your pocket.

  • LC workability check against the contract before you commit
  • Back-to-back mirror check: purchase LC versus sale LC, term by term
  • Drift detection across amendments, plus full LC lifecycle tracking
  • Laytime, letters of indemnity, invoices, AR/AP aging and netting on the same record
How it works

Three steps, no procurement cycle

1

Sign up with a work email. Company name, your commodity classes, done. No card, no call, no contract to redline.

2

Start on a working system. Your workspace is seeded with a starter pack for agricultural, metals or energy trading, so day one is not a blank screen.

3

Put a real deal through it. Enter one live contract and its hedge, or paste one LC against its deal. That is the whole evaluation.

Questions a careful buyer asks

The fine print, in plain sight

Is this really free, or a trial that expires?

Not a trial. The wording recorded against every founding workspace is: “Standard product free for life for the first 10 customers. Premium modules will be priced when they arrive. Everything you sign up for today stays free.” The page you sign up on and the commitment on file are the same string, deliberately, so the promise cannot drift.

Why free? What do you get out of it?

Ten design partners whose real deal flow shapes the product, and ten references in segments we know well. Phlo Systems already runs full opsPhlo for larger trading houses; Lite is the standalone trading layer, and the first ten companies help us finish it in the right order.

How is Lite different from full opsPhlo?

Full opsPhlo is CTRM plus ERP: general ledger, multi-entity accounting, warehouse management, powered by Acumatica. Lite is the trading layer on its own: deal book, positions, hedging, LC toolkit, laytime, invoices and AR/AP. When a desk outgrows Lite, the upgrade path is a conversation, not a migration project.

Is my book isolated from other tenants?

Each company gets its own workspace; every query is scoped to it with database row-level security. Your deal book is visible only to the users you invite, and role-based access controls who sees what inside your own team.

Which commodities are supported?

Agricultural (cocoa, coffee, grains and more), metals including LME-quoted business with averaging and quotational-period handling, and energy. Pricing supports flat, index, differential and provisional structures.

What happens when the 10 places are taken?

Standard becomes a paid tier for company number eleven onwards. Founding workspaces keep the free-for-life terms they signed up under.
